I know it's easy to be a bit cynical when it comes to Valentine's Day, but let's face it, who wouldn't be thrilled to receive a beautiful bunch of flowers or a pretty card from the person we most love? I know that I certainly would!
So in honour of St. Valentine (or perhaps I should say Saints Valentine because apparently there were three of them!) I've had a hunt through my treasures and here's my tribute to love...
"love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction"
Antione de Saint Exupery.
"the supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved" Victor Hugo.
I was lucky to find this heart-shaped stone at the beach last year.
House of love hanky.
"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt" Charles M Schulz. I love this quote (I'm a huge Charlie Brown fan!)
So that's nearly all of the lovey-dovey stuff out of the way. Just one more quote to think about:
"If we all discovered that we only had five minutes left to say all that we wanted to say, every telephone booth would be occupied by people calling other people to tell them that they loved them"
Happy Valentine's Day x
